Little Champions

AGES 3–5

Our Little Champs program introduces young kids to Muay Thai through movement, play and age-appropriate martial arts skills. At this age, it’s not about perfect technique — it’s about building the foundations that help kids become confident, capable and coachable.

Days: Monday + Wednesday

Time: 11:00-11:45am

Focus: Kids learn how to follow instructions, work with others, control their bodies and try new things — all while having fun and developing a positive relationship with fitness from a young age.

WHY START YOUNG?

Ages 3–5 are an incredible time for kids to begin developing coordination, listening skills, confidence and comfort in a structured group environment.

Little Champs isn't about creating fighters at three years old. It's about giving kids a strong foundation.

They learn how to listen to a coach, move their bodies, work with others, handle little challenges and discover that they are capable of doing hard things — all while having a ton of fun.

Strong bodies. Confident kids. Great foundations.

FAQ

How do I register?
Little Champs runs as a 5-week program, but registration is open anytime! Simply register your child and we’ll add them to the next upcoming program. This means you don’t have to worry about missing a registration window — once you’re signed up, we’ll be in touch with your next available start date.

Can moms train too?
Yes! We offer a Stronger Moms class immediately before Little Champs, so moms can get their own workout in while their little one comes along. Once the moms’ class is finished, it’s the kids’ turn to hit the mats for Little Champs! It’s an easy way for both mom and child to stay active, build confidence and be part of the AMT community.

Does my child need any Muay Thai experience?
Not at all! Little Champs is designed specifically for beginners. We introduce simple punches, kicks and movement in a fun, age-appropriate way.

What does a typical class look like?
Classes combine Muay Thai basics, movement drills, partner activities and games. We keep things moving and change activities often to match the attention spans of young kids.

What if my child is shy or nervous?
That's completely okay. We encourage kids to participate at their own pace. Our goal is to help them become comfortable in the gym, build trust with their coaches and gradually grow their confidence.

What if my child has trouble listening?
They're 3–5 — that's part of why we're here! Learning to listen, follow directions, wait their turn and stay focused are some of the skills we actively work on throughout the program.

Is Little Champs about teaching kids to fight?
No. While we teach the foundations of Muay Thai, the bigger focus at this age is confidence, coordination, discipline, teamwork and having fun being active.

What should my child wear?
Comfortable athletic clothing they can easily move in. We train barefoot, so no special shoes are required.

Why start Muay Thai so young?
Starting young gives kids an opportunity to develop healthy movement patterns, body awareness, confidence and coachability during an important stage of development. Most importantly, we want them to associate fitness and learning with something fun and positive.

Can we try a class before committing?
Absolutely. New families are welcome to try a class and see if Little Champs is a good fit.
